Lions QB Goff Seeks to Extend Perfect Record Against Chiefs

As the Detroit Lions prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season, one player is drawing significant attention: quarterback Jared Goff. Goff has a perfect 2-0 record against the Chiefs in his career, including one of the most memorable regular-season games in recent memory.

In 2018, when Goff was with the Los Angeles Rams, he led his team to a 54-51 victory over the Chiefs in a high-scoring thriller. Goff completed 31-of-49 passes for 413 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions in that game. While his numbers weren't as gaudy in the Lions' 2023 win over the Chiefs, Goff still led his team to a 21-20 victory, completing 22-of-35 passes for 253 yards and one touchdown.

Now, Goff and the Lions have a chance to make another big statement on Sunday, as they travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face the 2-3 Chiefs. A win would move the Lions to 5-1 on the season, putting them on track for a third straight NFC North title and potentially positioning them as Super Bowl contenders.

Goff has been efficient so far in 2025, completing a league-leading 75.2% of his passes for 1,187 yards, 12 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. He helped the Lions bounce back from a season-opening loss to the Green Bay Packers by winning four straight games.
