Ullmark Leads US U20s into 2026 World Cup

The 2026 U20 World Cup in Poland will feature the United States in Group D against Italy, Japan, and New Zealand. Among the emerging talents is midfielder Linda Ullmark, who is making a significant impact in her rookie season. Ullmark, recently honored as the National Women's Soccer League Rookie of the Month for July, has quickly found her goal-scoring touch.

Ullmark's collegiate career included a pivotal role in the University of North Carolina's 2023 national championship win, where she contributed significantly to their success. She also earned numerous accolades during her time with the Tar Heels, including ACC and NCAA All-Tournament Team selections.

After forgoing her remaining college eligibility, Ullmark signed a four-year contract with the Houston Dash. She has become a key contributor, notching three goals and three assists in 21 matches, and earning Rookie of the Month honors. Internationally, Ullmark was a standout in the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship, helping the U.S. reach the semifinals and earning a spot in the Best XI.

Head coach Vicky Jepson has named Ullmark to the U20 World Cup roster, which runs from September 5th to 27th in Poland. The tournament offers a platform for Ullmark to further showcase her skills against top global talent and potentially earn a future spot with the senior national team.
