Red Bull Team Principal Laurent Mekies has lauded Liam Lawson's recent performances with the senior Formula 1 team. Lawson has been a consistent presence, stepping in for the injured Isack Hadjar over the past three race weekends.
This temporary promotion offered Lawson a chance at redemption. The 24-year-old New Zealander had previously completed only two race weekends with Red Bull at the start of the 2025 season before being reassigned to Racing Bulls.
His most recent stint has proven much more successful. Lawson achieved a seventh-place finish in his first race back with the senior squad in Zandvoort. He further demonstrated his capability by securing a solid sixth position last weekend in Madrid.
