Leicester City Kicks Off League One Journey

Leicester City officially commences their League One campaign this afternoon with an away fixture against Notts County. The match is set to begin at 12:30 PM.

Russell Martin's squad is widely anticipated to contend for immediate promotion back to the Championship. This optimism is fueled by substantial investment in the transfer market, evidenced by the arrival of nine new players so far. The team's roster is likely to evolve further before the transfer window concludes.

Recent additions to the squad include Admir Bristric, Harry Howell, and Franco Ravizzoli. Goalkeeper Alex McCarthy has been cleared to play after missing the previous Carabao Cup match, although Conor Chaplin will be unavailable. This game is the first of four scheduled for August as the team targets a victorious start to the new season.
