Off-course, mentorship programs will connect I Promise students with pro golfers, bridging gaps and offering guidance. PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp highlighted the shared vision of using golf to foster opportunity, community, and positive change.
Firestone Country Club has a rich history with professional golf, having hosted numerous significant tournaments since 1954. Although the Senior Players Championship is moving, James' event ensures the PGA Tour's continued presence in Akron.
Michele Campbell, executive director of the LeBron James Family Foundation, emphasized the event's role in preserving the PGA Tour's legacy in Akron and promoting diversity in golf.
