Despite Silver's public plea, former teammate Draymond Green expressed skepticism that this would expedite the process. Green, speaking on his podcast, suggested that such public pressure might even cause James to take longer to make his decision, given his known approach.

LeBron James himself addressed the situation during a live event, stating that there was no announcement to make at that moment. His agent, Rich Paul, later reiterated that James is taking his time with this crucial business decision and that there is no set timetable for an announcement, having also spoken with Commissioner Silver about the matter.
