This expanded tournament features 36 clubs, with 18 from Mexico's Liga MX and 18 from Major League Soccer, playing a total of 54 matches in Phase One. The competition runs from August 4 through September 6.

The tournament's knockout rounds will begin after Phase One concludes on August 13, with quarterfinals scheduled for August 25-27 and semifinals on September 1-2.
The top three clubs from the Leagues Cup will earn berths in the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup, with the champion advancing directly to the Round of 16. The tournament's third-place match and the final are set to take place on September 6, concluding the month-long soccer spectacle.
