The Rabbitohs are set for a significant boost as star player Latrell Mitchell is on track to feature in a trial match before the 2026 NRL season commences. Mitchell suffered a minor calf strain but is back running and will participate in the team's second trial game against Manly.
Fellow star David Fifita has also impressed during pre-season, showcasing a much slimmer figure. Both Mitchell and Fifita recently sustained minor injuries but are recovering well and expected to be fit for upcoming trials.
