Summary
- Only two French players have won the Paris Masters since 1970.
- Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was the last Frenchman to win in 2008.
- Ugo Humbert reached the 2024 final but did not win.

The Paris Masters has seen limited success for French players, with only two champions in its history since 1970. Sebastien Grosjean was the first Frenchman to win in 2004, defeating Yevgeny Kafelnikov.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga achieved the second and most recent French victory in 2008. The young Tsonga navigated a strong field, including Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick, before defeating David Nalbandian in the final.
Since Tsonga's 2008 triumph, other French players have reached the final but fallen short. Gael Monfils was a finalist in 2009 and 2010. Tsonga himself returned to the final in 2011, but lost to Roger Federer. Most recently, Ugo Humbert reached the 2024 final, ultimately losing to Alexander Zverev.
