Lady Vols Tackle Stacked 2025-26 Nonconference Schedule

On August 1, 2025, the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball program unveiled its challenging nonconference schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The Lady Vols will face a daunting slate, with 14 of their games coming against teams that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

This includes matchups with the top-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks and No. 2 UConn Huskies, both of whom the Lady Vols will play on the road. Tennessee will also host the No. 4 Texas Longhorns as part of their nonconference schedule. In total, the Lady Vols will face 10 teams ranked in the ESPN Top 25 preseason poll.

"Including our conference opponents, our schedule includes the top six teams and 10 of the top 20-ranked programs in the early preseason polls," Lady Vols coach Kim Caldwell said in a school release. "We have our work cut out for us, but I believe our challenging non-conference opponents will better prepare us for what we're going to see in the Southeastern Conference."

The Lady Vols' nonconference slate features 5 road games and 2 neutral site contests, a significant increase in difficulty from the previous season. Tennessee will open the year on November 4 against NC State in Greensboro, North Carolina, and will also make a return trip to the Women's Champions Classic in Brooklyn, New York, on December 20 to face Louisville.
