Matchday 35 of the 2025-26 La Liga season delivered significant results as the campaign nears its conclusion. Mallorca's hopes of solidifying their position above the relegation zone were dashed as they drew 1-1 with Villarreal. Despite taking the lead, Mallorca conceded an equalizer before halftime and could not find a winner.
Valencia, however, celebrated a pivotal 1-0 away win against Athletic Club. Umar Sadiq's second-half strike proved decisive, extending Valencia's lead over the relegation places to five points with only three matches remaining.
In a remarkable display of resilience, Real Oviedo played the majority of their match against Getafe with only nine men. Despite two second-half red cards, they managed to secure a crucial goalless draw, preventing Getafe from gaining ground in their European ambitions.
