Kym's Gstaad Dream Ends in Thrilling Tiebreak

Jérôme Kym's Gstaad ATP 250 campaign ended in the round of 16 following a hard-fought three-set defeat against Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas. The match, initially suspended at 5-5 in the third set due to darkness, resumed the following day. Kym had a strong start after the restart, creating three break point opportunities, but could not convert. The match proceeded to a tiebreak, where Kym made a crucial error, allowing Tsitsipas to secure a 6-4, 6-7 (2-7), 7-6 (7-5) victory.

This result prevented Kym from matching his career-best quarterfinal appearance from the previous year. Tsitsipas is set to face Arthur Rinderknech in the quarterfinals. Elsewhere, top seed Alexander Bublik's match against Quentin Halys was also suspended due to weather and darkness. Dominic Stricker's match against Alexander Shevchenko was similarly affected by adverse weather, leading to its postponement in the first set with Stricker holding a 4-3 lead.
