NASCAR Hall of Famer Kurt Busch is set to drive the honorary pace car at the South Point 400, held at his home track, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This ceremonial role begins the 267-lap Cup Series race on Sunday.
The event holds special significance as it honors Kurt's late brother, Kyle Busch, a beloved racing figure with deep ties to the Las Vegas circuit. The Busch family recently held the Kyle Busch Classic at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring, a tribute event featuring various racing series and a moment for young Brexton Busch to participate.
This race is the fifth event in the NASCAR Cup Series Chase, marking the midpoint of the 10-race playoff series. Kyle Larson enters Sunday's competition with a notable points lead over Denny Hamlin in the championship race, aiming for a strong performance.
