Tottenham midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has undergone a "small intervention" on his injured right knee, a procedure that will keep him from participating in the upcoming World Cup Play-offs with Sweden. Kulusevski, who has been with the Swedish national team camp this week, will not feature in their semi-final playoff against Ukraine. He explained via Instagram that the intervention, performed two weeks ago, involved removing an extraneous element from his knee, and he expressed optimism about its current condition. The injury has kept Kulusevski out of action for both club and country since May of the previous year, a significant absence for Tottenham. His return date remains undetermined, according to interim manager Igor Tudor.
