Vikas Kohli shared posts on Threads, questioning expert opinions that label ODI cricket as the easiest format for top-order batters. He implied that such claims overlook the actual challenges of performing consistently. This follows a similar sentiment expressed by Vikas after the series opener, where Virat narrowly missed a century, scoring 93.

Manjrekar had previously expressed disappointment that Virat Kohli was only playing ODIs, suggesting retirement from all formats might have been more appropriate. He notably stated that ODI is the easiest format for a top-order batter, contrasting it with Test cricket performances of players like Joe Root.
