Kobe Bryant's Legacy Inspires Daughter of NBA Star at Mamba Invitational

As of August 2025, Gilbert Arenas' daughter, Hamiley Arenas, participated in the Mamba Invitational, an annual event that celebrates the legacy of the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant. Arenas, a former NBA player, shared a series of snapshots from the event on his Instagram, showcasing his daughter's involvement.

Hamiley's mother, Laura Govan, a former college basketball player, was also present at the event to support her daughter. Govan, who has transitioned from basketball to acting and television, has remained closely connected to the sport through her children's athletics. In fact, she has even taken on the role of coach for Hamiley's AAU team, Why Not Premier, at the Nike EYBL event in June 2025.

Hamiley Arenas, who is currently a freshman at Notre Dame High School in California, is rapidly emerging as a promising basketball talent. The 2028 prospect has already received scholarship offers from Division I programs, including Louisville and Arizona State.
