Knicks' Draft Regrets? Carr & Ejiofor Shine

These performances are particularly notable for New York, as they could have selected either player. The Knicks' decision to trade Carr to the Lakers and allow Ejiofor to be drafted by the Hawks is now being re-evaluated.

While the Knicks acquired Andre Drummond and retained Landry Shamet, the early success of Carr and Ejiofor highlights a potential missed opportunity for long-term team building. Losing out on Carr could impact the team's depth at wing, especially with Miles McBride's contract situation. Ejiofor's youthful energy could have complemented an older signing like Drummond and addressed the void left by Ariel Hukporti's departure. The team also selected Jack Kayil and Tyler Nickel later in the draft, but their chances of finding game-changing talent were diminished by moving back from earlier picks.
