Jürgen Klopp has become the highest-paid Germany coach in DFB history, securing an annual salary of seven million euros. This figure surpasses Julian Nagelsmann's reported earnings and severance package. Klopp's new salary places him second globally among national team coaches.
Carlo Ancelotti, now coaching the Brazilian Selecao, is the world's top-earning national team coach with an estimated 10 million euros annually, following his lucrative tenure at Real Madrid. Other high earners include Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel.
Despite his prominent new role, Klopp's DFB salary is significantly less than his previous club earnings, with an estimated 12 million euros at Red Bull and 18 million euros at Liverpool. Similarly, Zinedine Zidane and Jorge Jesus also experienced substantial pay cuts upon moving to international coaching.
Notably, Germany's Nations League opponents pay their coaches considerably less than Klopp, with salaries ranging from three million euros down to 650,000 euros annually, highlighting a significant disparity in coaching compensation.
