KL Rahul Joins Elite Club with Second Lord's Century

In a recent development, former India player Aakash Chopra has lauded KL Rahul for scoring his second century at Lord's in the ongoing third Test against England. Rahul scored 100 runs off 177 deliveries, helping India match England's first-innings score of 387 on Day 3 of the match.

Chopra observed that while critics might still find reasons to criticize Rahul, the stylish batter deserves praise for his excellent knock. Notably, Rahul has become the first Indian opener to score two centuries at Lord's, a feat not achieved even by greats like Sunil Gavaskar, Virat Kohli, and Sachin Tendulkar.

Highlighting Rahul's impressive performance, Chopra noted that the batter has been India's most dependable overseas opener in recent years. While Rahul often starts a series strongly, he has maintained his form throughout the ongoing Test series, scoring four centuries in England.

Chopra also pointed out that Rahul's dismissal after reaching the century mark was slightly disappointing, as it came against a soft dismissal in the slips. However, the cricketer-turned-commentator believes that Rahul might have entered the most beautiful phase of his batting career, as he has been among the runs in Tests, ODIs, and T20s.
