Veteran QB Kirk Cousins could back up Titans' Ward

The Tennessee Titans are reportedly considering veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins as a potential backup for the upcoming season. Following the Falcons' expected release of Cousins before the new league year begins in early March 2026, he will be free to sign with any team. This move could address the Titans' long-standing need for a reliable backup, especially given their experience with injuries to their starting quarterback.

Cousins brings 14 seasons of NFL experience and four Pro Bowl selections to the table. His recent performance, including leading the Falcons to a 4-0 streak, suggests he can still contribute effectively. Should Cam Ward, the Titans' presumed starter, face injury, Cousins' presence would provide significant stability and veteran guidance from the sideline.
