Four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Kirk Cousins was released by the Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday, making him available to explore opportunities with other franchises. While Minnesota is no longer an option, recent reports indicate the Las Vegas Raiders are considering him.
The Raiders may pursue Cousins as a veteran addition to aid the development of presumed top draft pick Fernando Mendoza. This move would provide valuable mentorship for the young signal-caller as he transitions to the professional level.
Should Mendoza face challenges or injuries during the upcoming 2026-27 season, Cousins could step in to lead the Raiders' offense. His NFL career spans 174 games, accumulating 44,700 passing yards, 298 touchdowns, and 131 interceptions.
