Jazz Guard George Signs Massive Extension

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George has committed his future to the team, agreeing to a five-year rookie-scale extension valued at approximately $157.5 million. This significant deal is slated to commence with the 2027-28 NBA season, solidifying George's role with the franchise.

Last season, George emerged as a key player, starting all 54 games he played. He posted career-high averages of 23.6 points and 6.1 assists per contest. His performance also included impressive shooting splits, hitting 37.1 percent from beyond the arc and 89.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The Jazz, who finished with a 22-60 record last season, are looking to rebuild around promising young talent. The team also drafted Darryn Peterson with the No. 2 overall pick in the recent draft, signaling an intent to pair him with George in the backcourt.
