Ole Miss Star Lacy Exits Game With Injury

Ole Miss football running back Kewan Lacy exited the Rebels' game against Louisville during the first quarter with an apparent injury. The incident occurred on a run play up the middle, where Lacy was tackled and pushed backward. He was assisted off the field but returned to the game after missing only one play.

Lacy was then used as a decoy on a designed run for quarterback Trinidad Chambliss. On that play, Chambliss gained a first down but fumbled the ball. Michigan State transfer Makhi Frazier briefly replaced Lacy at running back, recording zero yards on his carry.

Kewan Lacy is recognized as one of college football's top stars. In 2025, he rushed for 1,567 yards and an Ole Miss-record 24 touchdowns. His prominence was further highlighted when he was featured on the cover of the EA Sports College Football 27 video game.
