West Virginia, the No. 4 seed, was attempting to reach the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1992. Sydney Shaw scored 11 of her 23 points in the final quarter, and Jordan Harrison's free throws narrowed the gap to 72-71 with just over a minute remaining.
