Kent Cricket has announced the signing of South African fast bowler Glenton Stuurman for the first six County Championship matches of their 2026 campaign. Stuurman, who brings a wealth of experience with 277 first-class wickets to his name, is set to join the squad for their season opener against Durham on April 3rd.
His availability will extend until a fixture in May, after which he will make way for fellow South African international Senuran Muthusamy. Muthusamy was also recently announced by Kent and will complete the remainder of the red-ball season. Stuurman expressed his honour in representing Kent, a club with a significant cricketing legacy.
Stuurman has demonstrated strong form this season in his homeland, taking 21 wickets. His career statistics include an impressive average of 24.05 across 82 first-class matches. He also has international experience, having represented South Africa in two Test matches and one T20 international, further enhancing Kent's options.
