Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III has been identified as the second-best fantasy football option at his position for Week 9 of the 2026 NFL season. After an initial strong start, Walker's performance has seen a dip coinciding with the Chiefs' recent two-game losing streak.
Anticipation is high for Walker's upcoming game against the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium. Fantasy managers can expect a significant resurgence, with projections suggesting over 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns. This outlook is bolstered by the Chiefs' historical tendency to heavily utilize their ground game against less formidable opponents.
Walker's past success against the Jets is notable; in a 2023 game, he recorded 133 rushing yards for the Seattle Seahawks. This historical performance further supports the expectation of a dominant Week 9 outing.
