Karnataka Star Krishnappa Gowtham Retires from Cricket

Krishnappa Gowtham, a distinguished all-rounder from Karnataka, has concluded his 14-year professional cricket journey by announcing his retirement at the age of 37. His career spanned various domestic formats and included a brief stint at the international level.

Gowtham's prowess was evident from his first-class debut in the 2012 Ranji Trophy. He amassed over 320 wickets across first-class and List A matches, complemented by impactful batting performances, including a century against Assam. His consistent domestic form led to India A selections against international A teams.

The all-rounder's career also saw him play for multiple franchises in the Indian Premier League, earning significant amounts and delivering match-winning efforts. His most remarkable individual performance occurred in the 2019 Karnataka Premier League, where he scored 134 runs and took eight wickets.
