Kappa Kappa Aims for Second G2 Win

Kappa Kappa, a promising 4-year-old trained by Butch Reid, Jr., is poised to vie for her second Grade 2 triumph in the $250,000 Honorable Miss presented by Mionetto. This six-furlong sprint will take place on Sunday at Saratoga Race Course.

The mare's notable achievements include a hard-fought head victory in the seven-furlong G2 Raven Run at Keeneland last October. Trainer Butch Reid, Jr. expressed pride in her performance, especially considering the circumstances. He also noted her substantial physical improvement over the winter, crediting Barry Eisaman for his work.

Kappa Kappa's recent form includes a win in a six-furlong optional-claiming sprint at Parx on July 1, leading gate-to-wire as the favorite. She has since traveled to Saratoga and will start from post 2 under jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. The Honorable Miss is Race 8 on Sunday's 10-race program, with first post at 1:10 p.m. Eastern.
