22 Jun
Summary
- Incoming coach Fernando Da Cruz faces immense pressure for immediate results.
- Kaizer Chiefs failed to secure any silverware last season.
- Supporters' patience has worn thin after a trophy-less campaign.
A Kaizer Chiefs legend has issued a stark warning to the incoming head coach, Fernando Da Cruz, declaring that the era of rebuilding at Naturena must end. Following a trophy-less season, the pressure is immense for the new technical team to deliver immediate success to the passionate fanbase.
The club's decision to overhaul its technical bench came after a period of instability. However, the patience of the Kaizer Chiefs faithful has significantly diminished, with historical prestige now secondary to tangible results. Da Cruz must understand the unique demands of the Glamour Boys, where a locked trophy cabinet means little.
The mandate for the new man in charge is unequivocally clear: bring silverware back to the club. The previous season saw the Soweto giants finish empty-handed under the guidance of Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze, amplifying the expectations for the current season.
