Jordan Walsh, who previously experienced an NBA championship in his rookie season with limited playoff involvement, is anticipating a more significant role in the upcoming 2026 NBA Playoffs. With just four games remaining in the regular season, the Boston Celtics hold the second seed in the Eastern Conference. Walsh has demonstrated career-high statistics and is earning more playing time, signaling a potential expansion of his responsibilities.
Jaylen Brown has voiced his enthusiasm for Walsh's development, describing the playoffs as 'Christmas time' and a period where 'Celtics legends are born.' He directly encouraged Walsh, asking if he was ready for the 'smoke,' to which Walsh responded with eagerness, stating he has been waiting for this opportunity in his third year.
Brown further praised Walsh's growth, noting in December that he was 'starting to see Jordan play like a grown man' and commending his increased aggressiveness. Walsh himself expressed his excitement to contribute meaningfully to the team's playoff run, a chance he has eagerly awaited since their previous championship win.
