Jon Jones Rejects Boxing Match with Usyk

Jon Jones has definitively shut down any speculation about a potential boxing match with Oleksandr Usyk. The UFC Hall of Famer expressed his respect for Usyk as a boxing legend but made it clear that he would only entertain a fight that involves "total combat skills," referencing Usyk's wrestling background.

Jones elaborated that handicapping himself by only using his hands is not something he would consider. Despite this stance, Jones indicated he is not ready to officially retire from mixed martial arts. He remains in the UFC's drug testing pool, suggesting the possibility of a future return to the octagon.

Currently, Jones is focused on mentoring younger fighters, specifically Gable Steveson. This role has been fulfilling, allowing him to stay connected to the sport and appease fan interest in his return. However, he emphasized that if he receives a strong calling, he would consider answering it.
