Veteran Striker Johnny Russell Rejoins Dundee United

Johnny Russell has made a return to Dundee United, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until the conclusion of the current season. The 35-year-old striker began his career at Tannadice Park, making his debut in 2010 and establishing a strong record with 46 goals in 120 appearances before his transfer to Derby County in 2013.

Russell also boasts international experience, having earned 14 caps for Scotland. His career took him to the United States in 2018, where he spent seven years with MLS club Sporting Kansas City. He departs as the highest-scoring Scot in USA history, having netted 69 goals. His recent club was Real Salt Lake, whom he last played for in October.
