Neenah Director Heads to WIAA Sports Role

Jim Strick has been appointed as the new communications director for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA). Strick, currently the communications director for the Neenah Joint School District, is set to begin his new position on September 28. He will work alongside Todd Clark, the current WIAA communications director, until Clark's retirement on January 15, 2027. Strick brings 29 years of experience in communications to the WIAA, having also served as the communications director for the Fox Valley Association for 13 years and as its co-commissioner for the past two years. He is a recipient of the Wisconsin School Communicator of the Year award. Strick has extensive experience with WIAA events, having served as a public address announcer for numerous state tournaments across various sports. WIAA executive director Stephanie Hauser praised Strick's well-rounded background and his understanding of the positive impact of education-based athletics on student-athletes and school communities. Strick intends to continue living in Neenah, a community he described as "special."
