Controversial Kicker Tucker Auditions for Jets

The New York Jets explored options at kicker on Wednesday, with former Ravens standout Justin Tucker among those trying out. Tucker, a five-time All-Pro in Baltimore, was released by the Ravens before the 2025 season following accusations of inappropriate behavior during massages. Although no legal action was pursued, the NFL suspended him for 10 games.

This audition raises eyebrows due to Tucker's past. He tried out alongside Michael Badgley and Josh Karty. The team recently claimed Blake Grupe off waivers after neither Jason Sanders nor Cade York impressed in camp. The Jets aim to fill the void left by Nick Folk, who signed with the Falcons in free agency. Sanders remains on the practice squad.

Coach Aaron Glenn indicated the team is beginning preparation for the Titans next week. He noted the challenge of the opening game, emphasizing the importance of core concepts. Injury updates reveal TE Kenyon Sadiq participating in drills, while CB D'Angelo Ponds and TE Jelani Woods worked with trainers. TE Jeremy Ruckert, RBs Breece Hall, and Isaiah Davis were not in uniform.
