Pegula Calls Out WTA for Photoshop Fail
21 Feb
Summary
- Pegula noticed her body proportions were altered in a WTA promotional photo.
- She humorously pointed out missing arm pieces and an altered waist.
- The WTA removed the post after Pegula's public reaction.

Jessica Pegula, preparing for the WTA 1000 Dubai Duty Free Championships final, publicly questioned a photoshopped image posted by the WTA. The promotional picture, intended to hype her match against Elina Svitolina, depicted Pegula with significantly altered body proportions.
Pegula reacted with humor, noting the "waist of dreams" and jokingly stating that "pieces of [her] arm are also missing." The WTA has since removed the offending post from its social media channels.
An observant social media user identified that the editing error likely stemmed from the removal of a white stripe on Pegula's black Adidas kit, which created the illusion of a much smaller waist. Pegula’s co-host on The Players Box podcast, Jennifer Brady, also commented on the humorous situation.
In addition to her singles success, Pegula reached the Dubai doubles quarterfinals with Giuliana Olmos. They were defeated in a deciding tiebreaker.
