5 Feb
Summary
- Jesse Lingard is reportedly a target for Feyenoord on a free transfer.
- Robin van Persie's Feyenoord is looking to bolster attack due to injury.
- Lingard seeks new club after leaving FC Seoul in January.

Jesse Lingard is reportedly being considered for a free transfer to Feyenoord, with the Dutch club aiming to secure his signature. The move would see him potentially link up with former Manchester United teammate Robin van Persie, who is now managing at Feyenoord. Van Persie is reportedly looking to enhance his attacking options following an injury to his son, Shaqueel.
Lingard has been without a club since January, having left FC Seoul. He is reportedly hoping to finalize his next career move within the week. Feyenoord is not the only club interested, as teams in England, Italy, and the Netherlands have also discussed contract offers, including his former loan club West Ham United and Italian side Genoa.
Lingard's past loan spell at West Ham in January 2021 proved highly successful, where he scored nine goals in 16 Premier League games. Despite this, he did not make a permanent move and later joined Nottingham Forest for the 2022-23 season, where his impact was limited. His subsequent move to FC Seoul in January 2024 marked his most recent playing experience before becoming a free agent.
