An indoor rowing challenge was held to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey. The "Rowathon" event took place at the Raddison Blu Waterfront Hotel. Teams of up to six individuals competed, rowing the distance of approximately 18 miles (29km) on indoor rowing machines.
Companies and organizations from the island entered teams, each donating £1,000 to the charity. These funds will support Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey's efforts in assisting islanders who are affected by cancer.
Kevin Alway, the charity's operations and communications lead, highlighted the energetic and collaborative atmosphere of the event. He noted that while the challenge tests participants' stamina and determination, the overall experience is rewarding.
