Cameron's Origin Status Uncertain After Injury

Geelong's star forward Jeremy Cameron is in serious doubt for next Saturday's State of Origin clash between Victoria and Western Australia. Cameron is still recuperating from a broken arm he sustained in the 2025 Grand Final loss to Brisbane in late September last year. He has not yet resumed full training and was observed training with his right arm heavily strapped and wearing a contact restriction cap less than two weeks before the match.
Cameron's potential absence means he is unlikely to join Geelong teammates Max Holmes, Tom Stewart, and Patrick Dangerfield in representing Victoria. Despite his injury, Cameron had a stellar home-and-away season, kicking 83 goals. Meanwhile, Tristan Xerri and Nathan Broad are expected to be named for Victoria and Western Australia, ensuring all 18 AFL clubs are represented. Tim English is also set to be called upon for Western Australia.
