Jeremiah Smith Shatters OSU Receiving Record

Jeremiah Smith has etched his name in Ohio State football history, becoming the program's all-time leading receiver. Just one week after reaching a significant milestone, Smith surpassed the 3,000-yard mark for his career on Saturday. This achievement makes him the sole player in Ohio State history to achieve at least 3,000 career receiving yards. His performance during the first half against Illinois was instrumental in reaching this new record.

Smith showcased his explosive talent by accumulating over 100 receiving yards and scoring two touchdowns in the initial half of the game. Notable plays included a seven-yard touchdown reception and a spectacular 72-yard catch. Entering Saturday's contest, Smith had already accumulated 2,958 career receiving yards, placing him ahead of notable Buckeyes receivers like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Chris Olave.
