Air Force Mom Aims for Olympic Gold in Bobsled

U.S. Olympic bobsledder Jasmine Jones is competing in her first Olympic Games, balancing her roles as a mother and an Air Force servicemember. Jones, who narrowly missed qualifying for the 2022 Winter Games, joined the Air Force in April 2023. This decision allowed her to engage in a more intensive training program, which she credits as instrumental in her qualification for the current Milan Cortina Olympics.

Having her daughter in 2021, Jones sought greater stability to achieve her Olympic aspirations. The Air Force provided this stability, enabling her to dedicate herself fully to bobsled training. She has learned the importance of resilience, noting how the discipline acquired during basic training directly translates to the focus and execution required in bobsledding.

Jones expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to represent the United States, viewing it as a distinct honor that elevates her competitive drive.
