Jarren White delivered a notable performance in right field during Sunday's 4-3 defeat to the Athletics. He recorded a 3-for-4 effort at the plate, which included a double and an RBI, also scoring a run.
This appearance marked White's second consecutive start in right field. Wilyer Abreu, the usual right fielder, took on the role of designated hitter for the game following a day off due to lower-leg soreness.
White joined the Boston club from Atlanta at the recent trade deadline. He is expected to provide depth and flexibility in the outfield wherever needed. Since his arrival, White has participated in six games for Boston, making two starts, and has achieved a .3-for-11 batting average with a walk and three runs scored.
