Musiala Returns: Bayern Star Back After Broken Leg
16 Jan
Summary
- Jamal Musiala is nearing a return to the Bayern Munich squad.
- He suffered a broken left leg and dislocated ankle six months ago.
- Coach Vincent Kompany confirmed Musiala could play Saturday.
Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala is poised for a comeback, potentially featuring in the upcoming Bundesliga match against RB Leipzig. Musiala has been sidelined for the past six months following a serious injury sustained during the Club World Cup.
He fractured his left leg and dislocated his ankle in early July last year after a collision with Paris St-Germain's goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma. This incident led to his prolonged absence from the Bayern squad, impacting the team's lineup during his recovery period.
Head coach Vincent Kompany indicated that Musiala's return is imminent, stating "If all goes well today, the plan is that he will be there." This news offers a significant boost to Bayern Munich as they welcome back a key player.
