- Hurts has faced criticism for perceived limitations in his passing game.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was spotted arriving at SoFi Stadium for the team's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The team's offensive struggles throughout the 2025 season have intensified scrutiny on Hurts, with reports indicating significant "unhappiness" within the organization regarding his performance.
Analyst Chris Simms has been particularly critical, stating on a recent podcast that the quarterback himself bears substantial blame. Simms highlighted that opposing teams have found ways to neutralize the Eagles' powerful offensive line and run game, largely due to the perceived simplicity of the pass game and specific throws Hurts avoids.
Hurts addressed the team's recent 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears, emphasizing his process of reviewing past games and team structures to foster better understanding and communication with coaches. The Eagles' offense has been hampered by injuries, including key player Lane Johnson, and a dip in form from stars like Saquon Barkley and AJ Brown.
