Jake Paul's Post-Surgery Wishlist: Jaw-Dropping Opponents!
10 Oct
Summary
- Paul is cleared to box after a broken jaw required two surgeries.
- His wish list includes Wilder, Aspinall, Ngannou, and McGregor.
- He also expressed interest in fighting Canelo Alvarez and Ryan Garcia.

Jake Paul has received clearance to resume his boxing career nearly 10 months after a severe jaw injury necessitated two surgical procedures. The incident, which occurred approximately 293 days prior to his business partner's announcement, has not reportedly affected Paul's mental faculties. Paul, aged 29, has since outlined a series of desired matchups on social media. His list notably excludes Anthony Joshua, who was involved in the injury, but features formidable opponents such as former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and current UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall. Francis Ngannou, who previously knocked down Tyson Fury, is also on Paul's radar.
Paul also remains open to MMA fights, targeting Conor McGregor for either boxing or MMA, and Nate Diaz for an MMA bout. These potential matchups suggest a willingness to engage in combat sports beyond boxing, though an MMA contest would likely require a significant weight advantage for Paul. Additionally, Ryan Garcia, who now competes at 147 pounds, has been mentioned as a possible opponent. Paul's list also includes a desire to fight boxing legend Canelo Alvarez, though such a bout is considered highly improbable given Alvarez's career trajectory.
UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has also expressed a desire to box Paul, who has reciprocated the interest. Other fighters on Paul's extensive wish list include Darren Till, KSI, Chris Eubank Jr., and Edgar Berlanga. Despite the diverse array of names, Paul has placed a "World Title" at the very bottom of his list, indicating a long road ahead before any potential retirement.
