29 Jan
Summary
- Jah-Marien Latham returning to Alabama for 2026 season after injury.
- Neck injury in September ended Latham's 2025 season early.
- Latham is Alabama's longest-tenured player, a 2020 freshman.

Alabama Wolf linebacker Jah-Marien Latham will return to the Crimson Tide for the 2026 season. Latham's 2025 campaign was unfortunately cut short in September following a neck injury during practice. He received medical attention at UAB St. Vincent's Hospital, and head coach Kalen DeBoer confirmed he was done for the year on September 29th.
While a medical redshirt was discussed, Latham was already a sixth-year player due to previous redshirts in 2020 (COVID-19) and 2021. As the team's longest-tenured player since 2020, Latham's versatility was crucial. He played multiple defensive positions, including Wolf, Bandit, and 3-technique.
Across his six seasons and 44 games, Latham recorded 44 tackles and 2.5 sacks. His best season was in 2024, with 27 tackles and three quarterback hurries. Latham, originally from Reform, Alabama, was a highly-rated recruit.
