Jaguars Offense Seeks Redemption Against Saints in Preseason
17 Aug
Summary
- Jaguars offense inconsistent in preseason opener against Steelers
- Offensive coordinator Udinski addressing issues like drops and O-line
- Starters to play in Sunday's game against Saints as Jaguars look to improve

As the Jacksonville Jaguars prepare for their second preseason game against the New Orleans Saints this Sunday, the team's offense is looking to bounce back from an inconsistent performance in their first exhibition matchup.
In the Jaguars' 31-25 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, the offense displayed some concerning issues that offensive coordinator Grant Udinski is now working to address. Udinski acknowledges the challenges his unit has faced, including problems that arose during the team's second live scrimmage earlier in the week.
To help the offense get on track, head coach Liam Coen has announced that the Jaguars' starters on both sides of the ball will see playing time against the Saints. This will give Udinski's group another chance to show progress in areas like finding the right starting offensive line, reducing drops from pass-catchers, and managing the frustrations of top wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

"One piece of many things that we're working on trying to improve, whether it's fundamentals, communication, just simple execution of plays here and there, alignment, assignment," Udinski said. "All of those details are important."
The Jaguars are determined to iron out these kinks as they continue their preseason preparations for the regular season. With the team's new-look roster, coaching staff, and front office, the focus is on helping the players break old habits and progress from the inconsistencies that have plagued the franchise in recent years.
