Lakota West Star Kuwatch Lands NFL Deal

Lakota West High School alumnus Jackson Kuwatch has officially made the Carolina Panthers' 53-man roster. Kuwatch, a former standout linebacker for Miami University, received congratulations from his former high school coach. He was selected by the Panthers in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft, picking number 227 overall. Kuwatch spent three seasons with the RedHawks after transferring from Ohio State. In 2025, he started 14 games, recording 109 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 5.0 sacks, earning third-team all-MAC honors. During his senior year at Lakota West, he was named first-team all-GMC and Southwest Ohio defensive player of the year.
