Wales Captain Morgan Joins Gloucester for 2026-27

Wales captain Jac Morgan has committed his future to Gloucester Rugby, signing a contract that will see him join the club for the 2026-27 season. The highly-rated back row forward, who has 24 international caps for Wales and has represented the British and Irish Lions, will depart Ospreys at the conclusion of his current deal.

Morgan, who began his senior career with Scarlets before moving to Ospreys in 2021, stated his enthusiasm for the new challenge in the Gallagher Premiership. He cited the club's excellent supporters and the positive environment reported by current players as key factors in his decision.

Currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, Morgan's participation in the 2026 Six Nations remains uncertain. His departure occurs during a period of significant restructuring within Welsh rugby, with the number of professional teams set to decrease.
