Day 9 Upsets: Basilashvili, Prizmic Shock Italian Open

Day 9 of the Italian Open 2026, Tuesday, May 12, is set for thrilling fourth-round action in the men's singles and quarterfinals in the women's draw. Big names like Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev are in contention, but upsets have already begun to shake up the tournament. Nikoloz Basilashvili has continued his remarkable resurgence, defeating higher-ranked opponents. Dino Prizmic is also making waves, notably after his earlier victory over Novak Djokovic.

Jannik Sinner, fresh off his 25th consecutive win, remains a strong favorite in his match.
