Relegation-threatened Mohammedan Sporting Club faces a critical Indian Super League fixture on Friday, May 15, 2026, hosting title contenders Mumbai City FC. The Black and White Brigade must secure a victory at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata to have any chance of survival, as anything less will confirm their relegation.
Mohammedan Sporting, under coach Mehrajuddin Wadoo, aims to leverage home support despite recent challenges. Their fate is dire; a loss or draw seals their relegation to lower divisions. A win is essential to keep their slim hopes alive for the final matches of the season.
Meanwhile, seventh-placed Mumbai City FC, with 19 points from 11 games, are on a winless streak of four matches. They are eager to return to winning ways and capitalize on this away fixture. A victory would propel them to second place in the league, strengthening their title aspirations.
The match is scheduled to commence at 7:30 PM IST. Live broadcast will be available on Sony Sports Network, with streaming on the Fancode app. Tickets can be purchased via the District app and website.
